Customer's Fault Description
2 x key fobs for a roller shutter door.<br/> Both not working.<br/> Unit 1 - no lights <br/> Uni 2 - lights only on 2 buttons- bottom grey and bottom green.

 

These 2 roller door remotes arrived safely and on testing were found to be non functioning on all buttons.  A visual inspection showed that the button arrays on each controller were badly contaminated and had signs of corrosion.

The first handset was cleaned up and still the problem persisted, this was eventually found to be due to a break in one of the tracks causing an open circuit, this was repaired and full functionality was restored.

The second control was also cleaned and again the problem still persisted, this time the issue was due to a faulty 10k resistor.  This was replaced and full functionality was restored.
