Customer's Fault Description
It appears to be working except the light at the top of the remote does not come on so is not sending the signal.
This aircon remote controller arrived safely and on testing was showing a display but was not transmitting a infra red signal on any button press.
Also in the battery compartment there was signs of corrosion one of the terminals, this was cleaned up as a precaution against future problems but this was not the cause of the fault.
The fault was remedied by replacing the Infra red LED at the end of the controller (please note that this is infra red and isnt visible to the human eye)
Once tested full functionality was restored.
