Remote will not switch unit on/off

 

This Panasonic handset arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent when pressing the power button.

On opening, the main PCB had contamination around it due to use over time (see image) this led to poor conductivity.

This was cleaned up by giving it an alcohol bath and the rubber pads washed.  Full functionality was restored.
