This brake tester remote control arrived safely and on first inspection the battery cover does not click into place meaning it is needed to be held on by tape or a band.  Also various buttons are missing, these cannot be replaced as cosmetic damage is not applicable to repairs carried out by us.

On adding a power source it was noted that one of the terminals had a loose plate cover, this was replaced with a new terminal block but still there was no function from any button press.

On opening the controller the problem was clear, there had been work carried out previously that had caused some cracks in the print around the IR led due to poor soldering.  The LED's were replaced and the print reworked, full functionality was restored.
