Customer's Fault Description
Remote won't turn fire on, or up if it's already on. It will turn the fire down/off. I have checked the batteries (and also in the receiver unit). If the two buttons to turn the fire on/up are held and the unit moved slightly, the led on the receiver will intermittently come on but not in any useful way.
The red led on the handset comes on when down/off or on/up are pressed.
These 2 remote arrived safely and on testing there was a fault found with one of them. One would not transmit on the down channel at all.
The receiver was requested as the faults were non consistent to the customers fault description and was required to be tested with he receiver itself.
The receiver arrived and when tested it was found that both controls when tested with the receiver showed and intermittent fault on the up channel.
This was found to be a faulty 40khz crystal in one of the controls and a faulty 40.5 khz crystal in the receiver. Once these were replaced full functionality was restored.
