Fire not responding to remote. Remote is the only way to operate the fire. Fire was purchased in January 2000 (17 years old)

 

This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to not be transmitting on any button press.

On opening there was some corrosion on the pcb which was caused by a old battery leakage, this was cleaned up and the print reworked, full functionality was restored.
