fire in working order but not responding to remote

 

This controller arrived safely and on adding a power source was found not to be transmitting on any button press.

On opening the control the pcb did have some contamination on it which was cleared with alcohol but this did not rectify the fault.

A component test was carried out and the IR led was found to be faulty, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
