Mertik Maxitrol G30-ZRRS Remote Repair Details
This remote and 2 receivers arrived safely from the United States. On inspection of the controller the battery terminals had signs of corrosion from a battery leakage. When a power source was added, no signal was emmited at all. This was found to be due to a faulty ultrasonic transducer. A replacement was fitted and the cable replaced this restored functionality to the control.
When tested with the first receiver the functions could only be worked if the batteries were rotated, this was due to tarnish on one of the main terminals, this was removed and recoated with conductive paint and functionality was restored (no charge was applied to this repair)
When the 2nd receiver was inspected it was noticed that the battery terminals were heavily corroded due to a severe battery leakage. This could not be removed and recoated and therefore the battery block was replaced, this restored functionality.
