Remote control won't turn on the fire place

 

This Verine handset arrived safey and on first inspection reveaed that there was corrosion on the battery terminals due to a previous battery leakage.  On adding a power source the display was missing various ket parst of its display figures and no RF signal could be detected from the functions.

On opening the control the leakage was found to be more severe, it had spread from the terminals through the board onto both sides of the print causing a large amount of corrosive damage.  Due to the extent of this damage a repair is not possible.
