Customer's Fault Description
we put a new nattery in but still it won't work. The specialist of these fireplaces vist our house and stated that the fireplace correctly works but the remote control not.
This Mertik remote arrived safely from the Netherlands. On initial inspection it was noted that the battery clip was showing signs of corrosion (green discoloration on the terminal clip), this however was not causing an immediate problem.
On adding a power source the remote was found to be transmitting as per normal operation (see testing video). It has therefore been concluded that the receiver is at fault. If the customer would like to send over the receiver we shall have a look at it and hopefully repair it. If not then only the return postage is required to return the remote control.
