months ago Remote stopped working - battery was loose, secured battery by placing small objects around the battery. worked fine until recently, tried to secure battery, still didnt work.
replaced battery, Remote worked instantly as i was stood there with remote in my hand i could feel it getting hotter and hotter, removed cover and battery had melted, checked the obvious, reconnected battery but once again felt it getting hotter. phoned yourselves.
This Sun remote control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a missing red led and also 2 batteries were included (one badly bubbled due to overheating).
On opening the control a replacement LED was fitted and a power source added, the cause of the battery warming up was then found, the terminals were shorting each other when a power source was added.
A double insulation guard was fitted and full functionality was restored.
