These extractor controls arrived safely and on inspection on was found to be missing the battery cover and both had the pcbs loose inside.
Each board had a broken battery connector, both battery cables / clips were replaced. This brought one back to life but the other still had an issue.
On closer inspection it was found that the board around the IR LEDs was riddled with cracks in the print, this was reworked and full functionality was restored.
The boards were fixed in place by hot melt glue.
