Screen blank, buttons dont work for turning up/down sound & other functions.

 

This Sony controller arrived safely and on testing was found to have corrosion on a few of the battery terminals.  On adding a power source no function could be created and it was confirmed that the display was intermittently illuminating.

The battery terminals were repaired and a few suspect joints were soldered, also the button array was cleaned using alcohol.  Once powered up again full functionality was restored.
