LCD screen intermittent, (back light works)

 

This Window controller arrived safely from France and on adding a power source was confirmed to have no display although the backlight was functioning.

On opening the control the display was removed and there was corrosion found on a couple of the contacts, this was removed and the conductive strip replaced.  Full functionality was restored.
