Customer's Fault Description
Remote was knocked onto the floor and stopped working. Batteries both in the remote and the receiver have been changed to no avail.

 

This fireplace remote arrived safely and on adding a power source was not responding on any button press.

 

When opened there were a couple of spots of corrosion due to liquid contamination covering parts of the main PCB. This was cleared up but still the problem persisted.  A component test revealed that the red LED was open circuit.  A replacement was fitted and full functionality was restored.
