Remote appears "dead". No battery condition is shown and a fully-charged battery discharged overnight.
This Conservatory fan controller arrived safely and on adding a power source was confirmed to be totally dead.
On opening there was a diode across the power input which had short circuited due to the battery being fitted incorrectly. This diode was replaced and full functionality was restored.
