Customer's Fault Description
The fire is totally remote control.
To switch it on you have to press the power setting that you want (high or low - 2kw or1kw) plus send
The 2kw setting doesn't work, nor will the fire switch to that setting once I has been turned on using the 1kw setting which does work.
This do Gazco Manhattan controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be working on certain buttons.
On opening the remote the reason for the fault was clear. There was contamination over various parts of the button array (see image).
The board was given an alcohol bath and the rubber keypad washed down, full functionality was restored (see video)
