Remote is totally dead. We replaced the batteries and no sign of corrosion etc but no life
This Velux window remote arrived safely and on adding a power source was found to be totally dead.
On opening there was a liquid contamination corrosion found around the display unit. The print was reworked but the problem persisted. A continuity test was carried out and the corrosion had been found to travel further along the PCB creating micro fractures in the print, this was reworked and full functionality was restored.
