Customers Fault Description : remote will not open gas valve. the gas valve can be operated manually. the remote will close the gas valve. the light on the remote lights for both operations. the receiver only lights when the valve is being closed.
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to not be transmitting on the up channel.
This is a common problem and was remedied by replacing the 40.5khz crystal.
