Customer's Fault Description

Battery leak onto terminal

This Technics amplifier remote arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to have a battery leakage in the battery compartment and on adding a power source was found not to be responding at all on any button press.

On opening the control the leakage was found to have traversed onto a large portion of the main board and was shorting a few contacts causing the non functionality.

The PCB was given an alcohol bath to remove all contaminants and the rubber keypad was washed down. Full functionality was restored.
