Remote is not working even with new batteries.

 

This Sleepeezee bed controller arrived safely and on adding a power source there was no infra red signal being emmited on any button press and also the red led was not illuminating.

On opening the problem was found to be a couple of dry joints around the IR leds.  These were resoldered and the Infra red signal was restored.  Please note that as is common on these controllers the visible red led no longer functions, this is due to a faulty IC which is no longer available as a spare, this does not effect the actual functionality of the controller except that it has no visible indicator when buttons are pressed.
