This Sun remote control for a MOT brake tester arrived safely and on initial inspection the battery cover was missing.

On opening the problem was found to be shorting battery terminals, this was causing batteries to drain when fitted due to the 2 terminals being shorted together.  This was remedied by fitting 2 resistive insulators on the terminals.
