Remote buttons appear to be working but signal is too weak to reach receiver from any distance but an inch or two

 

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was found to not be transmitting at any distance longer than a few millimeters.

This is a comon issue caused by a faulty US transducer, this was replaced in the remote and full functionality was restored.
