Customer's Fault Description
The light button is stuck, so it is on all the time draining the batteries.
This digital controller arrived safely and on adding a power source was confirmed to have a permanent illumination which was draining the batteries.
On opening the control it was found that there had been quite a large battery leakage which had contaminated much of the PCB and components. This was cleaned off but the problem remained, it was then agreed with the customer to disconnect the light system to prevent the battery drainage as this does not effect infra red functionality.
