Insert battery , awning continues to open, does not stop, whilst powered up

 

This Soneva Awning controller arrived safely and on tsting was found to be functioning normally.  The control was opened to see if there was any shorts.  The buttons themselves were reading slightly in resistance when they were supposed to be totally open circuit, all 3 buttons were replaced to remove this resistance.
