play/pause not working central circular dial not working standby button lost

 

This Cambridge remote controller arrived safely and on nspection was confirmed to have a missing power button.  Also a few buttons were non responsive.

When opened this was found to be due to contamination on the print which was causing temporary shorts.

The PCB was given an alcohol bath to remove the contaminants and a new standby button was fitted.
