Customer's Fault Description
Handset 'working with receiver marked No1' will operate okay when up button pressed but not when down button pressed light will illuminate on handset but not receiver!<br />
Receiver marked No2 - handset light illuminates when both up and down buttons pressed but nothing happens at receiver.
This fireplace remote and 2 receivers arrived safely and on inspection both receivers had signs of battery leakage in the battery compartment.
One receiver was confirmed not to be responding at all whilst the other was not working on one of the channels.
The battery compartment was replaced in the first as the feed voltage was low due to the corrosion and full functionality was restored.
The 2nd receiver had a far more corrosive damage. Parts of the print were showing signs of corrosion due to the leakage extending onto the main PCB, sadly due to the extent of the damage a repair is not possible.
