Customer's Fault Description
Remote continuous goes off and is not responsive. When remote is on, the touchscreen will sometimes be very very dim. Have tried changing batteries/resetting remote. When touchscreen is off, buttons are not responsive either. Remote has had occasions where it will work fine, however after about 10 mins it will turn off again.
This Pioneer TV and Soundsystem remote arrived safely and was confirmed to be intermittent in operation.
On opening there were 2 issues found, the first was that there was a liquid contamination covering a large portion of the PCB. This was removed but the intermittent functionality remained. This was found to be a bad solder join on one of the battery terminals.
