Customers Fault Description : Not conmmunicating with sound bar
This Yamaha controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be functioning when a power source was added, the remote was opened to check if there was any reason that the control could be intermittent. When opened and tested the control appeared not to be transmitting.
An extensive test was carried out and it was found that the main IC had a cracked solder joint on one of the pins. The entire IC was resoldered and full functionality was then restored.
