Buttons Dead
This DVD surround sound system controller arrived safely and on inspection the IR LED was disconnected from the board.
A replacement was fitted and the infra red signal was then present on each button press. The visible red LED however was not illuminating, this is due to a missing SM Resistor, as the value is not known it cannot be replaced, the customer was made aware that the control will function but wont have the visible LED illuminating and they are happy as long as it functions.
