Customer's Fault Description
Remote back cover is missing but secure with tape. The remote red led comes on when pressing up or down.

The receiver is dead. No red led light or any action when pressing remote.
Gas fire is working without problem manually and I think the remote/receiver was working ok last year.
New batteries were used for testing.
This fireplace remote and receiver arrived and the controls battery cover was confirmed missing, also the cables on the receiver were severed and the battery clip in the remote was broken.
A replacement battery clip was fitted in the remote but it was found not to be sending a signal on any button press.
This was found to be due to a faulty ultrasonic transducer in the controller. A replacement was fitted and full functionality was restored.
