stand by will turn on but not off volume button will allow vol up but not down

 

This controller for the ONKYO AV receiver TX-SR605 arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have some erroneous buttons, this was due to worn conductive contacts on the keypad.  The effected buttons were recoated in conductive paint and full functionality was restored.
