Receiver box only receives signal when the remote control is right next to the Receiver box

 

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was found to be only transmitting a very weak signal.  This was found to be due to a faulty ultrasonic transducer in the remote, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
