Customer's Fault Description
No sign of transmitter diode life when checked with u/v I/r sensitive camera. Active remotes were used as control sample. Was stored with batteries in place and showed signs of corrosion at contacts points when opened.

 

This Micro system SC-HD51 controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be responding on any button press.  On opening it was confirmed to have suffered some corrosion due to a battery leakage.  The print was reworked and a bridging wire fitted for the worst affected track.  Full functionality was restored.
