Unit was stood on nothing responding

 

This CD player controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be responding from any button press.  On opening the issue was found to be a cracked solder joint on one of the IC pins, this was resoldered and partial functionality was restored.

When tested again some buttons were not responding, this was due to worn button pads, the pads were cleaned up and reworked and full functionality was restored.
