Customer's Fault Description
Simply dead, after two unfortunate falls from the armrest of an armchair. Some solders have been remade, however it still does not work.
This DVD-BD-SACD universal player controller arrived safely from France and on testing was confirmed not to be transmitting on any button press.
On opening the reason was clear, the crystal oscillator was upended and one of its pins was broken. A replacement was fitted and full functionality was restored.
