Customer's Fault Description
Mertik Maxitrol G30No light on receiver, The Remote Has lights working but does not activate the receiver. Last time I checked these ( a year a ago) the receiver did work but only turned fire up but not down. Would like both checked please

 

This remote and receiver was tested upon arrival, the items arrived with batteries included.  The battery in the handset was disposed of due to being flat (the buttons were activated in transit which has drained the power).

On adding a working power source the remote was found not to be transmitting on one channel and only intermittently on the other channel.

This was due to both of the crystals in the handset being out of spec, replacements were fitted and full functionality was restored.
