This CD player controller arrived safely from Portugal and on adding a power source was confirmed to be dead.

On opening there was some print corrosion due to a battery leakage.  The print was tested but no issue was found.  A full component test was carried out but again no erroneous component could be found, it was then concluded that the main IC was at fault which sadly is not available as a spare.  This has deemed a repair not possible.
