Customer's Fault Description

Not working

These 2 CD player / amplifier controllers arrived safely from Ireland and on inspection one had signs of an attempted opening and also the battery cover has a broken retaining clip (see images).

On testing, both controls were not transmitting on any button press.

The first remote has been repaired by replacing the oscillator and the IR LED.

The second control is awaiting a part. It appears that when the item was attempted to be opened it had shattered one of the legs of a capacitor (this isnt a stock item and has been ordered), once this arrives it will be fitted and then the original fault will be diagnosed.

The replacement capacitor arrived 12th June and once fitted the second control was found to need a replacement IR LED this was replaced also and was then fully functioning.
