Intermittent operation, most likely due to loose battery terminal connection.

 

This Garage Door actuator control fob arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to have a faulty battery terminal, the solder joint had cracked making it an intermittent connection.

The terminal was re-soldered and reinforced, full functionality was restored.
