light stays on at low level permanently. Which of course flattens the battery.
This garage door controller arrived safely and on adding a power source was confirmed to have a permanent function out of the norm.
On opening there was a contaminant across one of the capacitors (see image), the pcb was given an alcohol bath and full functionality was restored.
