Power button has become unresponsive at times,New battery
Possible corrosion on terminals.
This RK caravan motor mover controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have an erratic power function. On opening there was some corrosion points found over various parts of the PCB.
Continuity tests were carried out and corroded print parts were bridged but the issue remained. It was eventually found that the jack socket was intermittently shorting making the device erratic. The socket was removed and cleaned of all contaminants by drowning it in alcohol. When the socket was refitted full functionality was restored.
