Customer's Fault Description

Unit does NOT adjust volume, cant put in CD choices, does not Mute or Cancel selections.

This Wurlitzer controller arrived safely from the United States and on testing was found to be transmitting but was erratic in its signal.

On opening the issue became clear, as you will see from the images there was a diode that had burnt up and cracked open, right next to this diode was a capacitor that one of its legs looks like it had never been soldered in place. There was also some solder splashed found on a few components which leads me to believe that an attempted repair was carried out in the past (if this is not the case then this item was poorly manufactured)

The diode was replaced and the capacitor was soldered correctly into place adn all solder splashes were removed.

When retested the signal was more stable.
