Customer's Fault Description
Unable to power up controller - possible issue with battery compartment (possibly the springs) - have been able to get power previously when fiddling with batteries - has been temperamental for last 6 months or so - was even a struggle to put back on controller and keep batteries in place - now unable to get controller powered up at all - when powered up all buttons work correctly and no other issues.
This Heating/Boiler Controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminals were bent out of shape making a poor terminal connection, the terminals were bent back into shape but the remote remained intermittent.
On opening the issue was clear, the solder points where the terminals connected to the board were cracked and dry jointed. These were resoldered and full functionality was restored.
