when you put a battery in the light stays on and the only button that work is the one to open it it will work the closed button

 

This Awning controller arrived safely and on adding a power source was confirmed to be permanently transmitting without any button press.

The issue was found to be due to a collapsed button which was shorted. This was remedied by replacing all 3 buttons.
