blinking but not working, sometimes it works but 1 every few days

 

This Marine RF remote control and receiver arrived safely. On testing the remote no response could be found on any button press.

When opened and the button contacts shorted functionality was found.

The conclusion was that the conductive button pads had worn away on every button.  The pads were reworked using silver conductive paint.

The receiver was then tested and a signal was found on the output, obviously a full test cannot be carried out without the head unit therefore the customer is required to test the complete setup on arrival.
