HOFFMANN BRECHAN 131 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : NOT WORKING
This brake tester controller arrived safely and on inspection a battery was included, various buttons were missing (this is common and replacement buttons are note available) and also the casing was held together by tape.
On testing no function could be found on any button press. This was due to a number of issues, firstly the battery terminals were shorting, this was rectified by adding heat-shrink to the terminals. Also the battery housing was missing a retaining clip which meant the battery was loose inside. A replacement retaining clip was hot glued in place.
The button array PCB contacts were contaminated, this contamination was removed using alcohol.
Also the RED LED was cracked, a replacement was fitted and full functionality was restored.
