battery compartment got wet and has corroded a bit

 

This Sony control arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminals were confirmed to be corroded.

New terminals were fitted and when tested every button except the up center button was working.  The Up button was found to have a corroded pin on the switch array, this was reworked and full functionality was restored.
