Customer's Fault Description
The fifth button counting from top, left to right,, is not working and on off button intermittent.

 

This caravan mover control arrived safely and on opening there was a mass of switch cleaner type liquid inside, after talking with the customer it was found that a engineer had sprayed something inside to "clean" it.

The PCB was given an alcohol bath to remove all contaminants and then the origional fault was searched for, the ribbon cable that connects the button array to the PCB had a strange jelly like contaminant on its ribbon connector.  This was removed and then the button continuity test was carried out.

The control seems to respond from all button presses and the power "double press".  The customer is required to test the item full with its corresponding receiver.
