Customer's Fault Description
‘turn up heat’ control working fine but ‘turn down heat’ control has little or no signal to receiver unit

 

This fireplace controller and receiver arrived safely.  On testing the remote is functioning as normal but the receiver was at fault.

The battery block was heavily corroded due to a battery leakage.  This was causing erratic voltage to get to the PCB.  A replacement battery block was fitted which restored normal functionality on both channels.
